Café Linnalla is based on the farm of Roger and Brid and uses the milk from its shorthorn cows to make its farm fresh ice cream which it serves in the café
The café with its many flavours of ice cream is set on the farm of Brid and Roger in a stunningly beautiful location overlooking Galway bay, the cows grazing in the fields around the café and gives you a real sense of from cow to cone. Roger is the farmer and Brid makes the ice cream using the fresh milk and cream. The café provides a farm tour two days a week for anyone who would like to have more information of dairy farming in the lowland Burren.
Meet at Café Linnalla, where you will meet the owners Brid and Roger who will give you a brief history of the area, our farm and the Burren. Roger will walk with you to the farmyard where the cows and calves can be seen. Roger will give you some information on farming in the Burren and the challenges he faces and the farming methods he has adopted to suit his farm.
