Roger has helped secure 2 female Friesian calves for the charity Bothar. The calves will be reared on a farm in Sixmilebridge Co Clare with the help of pupils from a secondary school in Ennis who will help rearing them and will fundraise to provide for their care. When the calves are approximately 18 months old, they will be put in calf and they will be then ready to be sent to a struggling family in the 3rd world. The recipient family will get expert training in livestock care. The gift of an Irish dairy cow is like giving a business to a poor family, as soon as the she produces her first calf she is producing up to 20litres of milk a day which the family can sell. this is such a worthwhile charity as it improves the quality of life to families in the developing world. if you would like to give a living gift check out www.bothar.ie
